Target Crops:
Maize (Corn)

About the Problem:
Digitaria spp. are fast-growing annual grassy weeds commonly associated with cultivated fields. They spread rapidly and compete with young maize plants for water, nutrients, light and space, particularly during the critical early growth period.

Season of Occurrence:
Predominantly occurs during the warm and rainy season (Kharif). Warm temperatures combined with adequate soil moisture favour rapid germination and growth.
